lyrics

The music of the spheres is music to my ears. Their soft melody is soothing, moving me to tears. I woke up in a cave. I saw the shadows on the wall, and the shackles on us all. Didn't even know I was a slave. The dawn of me was when I made an armory, simple utensils and basic pottery. Went on an odyssey. Sailed the coldest, darkest seas. I got seasick, at least I had Hypocrities. I met Siddhartha the Buddha and he walked with me. He let me go but he never had forgotten me. I talked to Socrates. We talked philosophy until he got to me. I told him not to bother me. Talked to some prophets, but everything they taught to me could have been gotten by a frontal lobotomy. They brought me darkness and in this darkness it dawned on me the amazing gift Copernicus brought to me. Thus began my apostasy of prophecy. But it gave me most of all the art we see. I was there, Newton saw the fruit drop on me. When science unseated Philosophy's monopoly.

Chorus: Science is music. Like a child we use it to view the world the way the violin views it. Philosophy will tell us why we confuse it, with truth, and why were right to confuse it. (REPEAT)

Yeah, I think therefore I am. I think there's more to man. As soon as I think that, they go and scorch the land. Torch in hand. The morbid man, will scorched the foreign land. There's nothing more horrid than the war of man. A shorter span than the span that the tortoise ran. That's life. What a way to torture man. Our mortality mortifies and horrifies us. We hope or children will immortalize us. But deep down inside at our core it bites us. The clock will tick forever more despite us. If we listen close then the dead can teach us. To our Kierkegaards and our Friedrich Nietzsches. In Charles Darwin's Origin of Species we find so much more when we explore the thesis. We better hold on to it 'fore it leaves us. 'Cuz it can teach us so much more than Jesus.

Chorus: Science is music. Like a child we use it to view the world the way the violin views it. Philosophy will tell us why we confuse it, with truth, and why were right to confuse it. (REPEAT)

I had a dream, I was on a beam of light. I would float through the sky at the speed of light. But everything that I seen on my genius flight wasn't right. I have a theory and I think I'm right. The Universe's speed limit is the speed of light. A light bulb turned on, I could see at night. Particle physics dies if String Theory's right. I think it might be the theory of everything in sight. Just a little planet, around a single star. The star is in a galaxy of a billion more. In a billion galaxies we can see like ours. A sea of stars, as far as we can see in ours. Is one Universe in a infinite Multiverse. Our lack of cosmic understanding gets so much worse. There's not only more than we can even hope to learn. There's more than we can ever even know we won't discern.

Chorus: Science is music. Like a child we use it to view the world the way the violin views it. Philosophy will tell us why we confuse it, with truth, and why were right to confuse it. (REPEAT)
