Album: Free Speech Matters Artist: Syq Lyrics written by: Syq (J. Luke) Music produced by: Steve Denton Chorus: Welcome to America we revel in hysteria There is nowhere safer than here and there's no where scarier Welcome to America. Welcome to America Verse 1: Politically correct me? No. Where's our humor? Sense is broke? Tell me this then let me know, How the fuck did we elect this Joke? Wait for the Punch line. I'm just trying to get away when it come I'm Runaway. Kanye here I come I'm trying to aim my lyrics up at the dumb guy, with the numb mind Now we got the king of hypocrisy on top of the democracy A Mockery of Honesty. Drop to knee for Donald T All praise the new god of lies you got played and I'm not surprised All placed their hands on their eyes. I always knew you'd compromise Your intellect and morality. You made your bed now go and lay in it I wouldn't hate this shit if you didn't make me get my pillow blanket piss and make me lay in it Or make me babysit the crazy kid. Doing everything that he said the lady did But he does it much worse cause' he blames his sis, while she lays asleep in the baby crib You're believing his shit I can't believe that he gets so many people to sit there and just eat up his shit teeth on the nip while they feed off the tip then they drink from the tit all the evil in it Now we got a captain that's leading the ship, and he's not equipped, and we're screaming the shit We spot an iceberg, yeah we're seeing the tip, but he yells fake news while he's sinking the ship He's a pompous dick whose incompetent. On top of it he's got Obama's gig Took the ball from Obama and dropped the shit. Little hands on the man Ad hominem If attacking the man is a cardinal sin, then I'm bad cause I can't stop mocking him Cause' if your ass doesn't have any argument then I'm stand here and laugh keep talking shit Chorus: Welcome to America we revel in hysteria There is nowhere safer than here and there's no where scarier Welcome to America. Welcome to America (Repeat) Verse 2: Politically correct me? No. What's the matter your sensors broke? The left is like; Neck meet rope. They hung themselves and left a note that simply read: I'm offended! I'm not outraged, I pretended. All the racism/sexism I invented Overshadowed the real evil I confess it No one listened to me when I protested Cause' I wanted attention and lied to get Exaggerated until you're like, 'forget it'. Until my nonsense helped get the guy elected I shut you down on our campus And I ran away to my safe space and I made up all the stats for this claim our culture is rape based And I race bait, yeah I bait race. In every conversation when they say That they disagree Then I may say that their disagreement is race based You're a racist a bigot and you may get a little bit of taste of your medicine stay there and sip it Causes' if they disagree then we can make them just sit there and just take all this shit cause' we can paint them as ignorant And Demonize them. I'm realizing, if I paint my enemies in people's eyes as evil then it's easy to feed them lies. Then finally my ideology will rise Then they signed the letter liberalism. I'm a liberal that isn't with them Your microaggressions? Quit your bitching! You bitch ass kids aren't frickin victims And I don't think the concept of White Privilege explains much. But you're brave uh? You're going to save us from those fake problems you made up? We got real problems that face us. We can't face them until you wake up The direction you're trying to take us is the wrong way it's dangerous From the NRA to Klu Klux Klan to the Black Lives matter and to the Blue Lives matter And I guess it all matters how you view that data. Grab a red bandanna grab a blue bandanna And pick a side and let's all fight. All day. All night. The Ctrl-Left to the Alt-Right. They're all wrong and you're all right! Chorus: Welcome to America we revel in hysteria There is nowhere safer than here and there's no where scarier Welcome to America. Welcome to America (Repeat) Verse 3: America. Land of the Free, Home of the Brave Let freedom ring. You make truth your jester and a joke your king. Where social justice trumps free speech and everything There's never been a more wealthy village Villagers calling other villagers privileged Where science is unhappy neighbors with creationism We make ourselves sick, Religion's medicationism Separation of church and State? Ruled by Christians Minor differences create wide divisions.

about

Syq's seventh album, Free Speech Matters, deals with the ever growing political division among Americans and the volatile political atmosphere that has subsumed both the political left and right in America. Free Speech is under attack by both the Ctrl-Left, who wish to silence all those with opinions that oppose their own, and the Alt-Right, who seek to undermine civil discourse and objective truth. Syq offers an alternate voice that matches the fiery rhetoric of either side with a rationality and openness to dialogue that both sides lack.
